Dear Colleagues,
I wrote in June to alert you to a leadership change in the Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) Program, and this is a follow-up for your awareness during this academic year.
Please direct questions about WIC course development, revision, and assessment to Dr. Ashley Holmes ([email protected]). As part of her duties as Associate Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, Dr. Holmes will ensure that faculty have appropriate support for WIC courses this year. Dr. Holmes’ expertise is in rhetoric and composition, and she served as Director of the Writing Across the Curriculum program at Georgia State before moving into the Center for Teaching and Learning there.
Dr. Holmes and I, in consultation with Dr. Tim Jensen in the School of Writing, Literature, and Film and with Faculty Senate, will consider options for the WIC Directorship long-term.
Best wishes for a smooth start to the year,
Alix
Alix I. Gitelman,
Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
