Free Virtual Workshop: Neurodiversity in the Academic Workplace with Ludmila Praslova, Ph.D. SHRM-SCP

To: OSU Faculty and Staff

From: Alix Gitelman, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs

Date: January 24th, 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The OSU College of Business and the Division of Academic Affairs invite you to attend a free virtual workshop: Neurodiversity in the Academic Workplace with Ludmila Praslova, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP. The workshop is scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2025, 2:00 p.m.– 3:00 p.m., PT.

Ludmila N. Praslova is award-winning author of The Canary Code: A Guide to Neurodiversity, Dignity and Intersectional Belonging at Work, Professor and Founding Director of Graduate Programs in Industrial Psychology at Vanguard University, and a member of the Thinkers50 Radar 2024 cohort of global management thinkers most likely to impact workplaces. Praslova will lead a strengths-based discussion of strategies for neuroinclusion in the academic workplace. By exploring ways, we can create systems and cultures that remove barriers and promote success — whether in the classroom, among colleagues or as academic leaders — attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and practical advice for promoting inclusion within higher education.

To facilitate a richer dialogue during the workshop, we encourage attendees to engage with Dr. Praslova's book The Canary Code before this session.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Division of Academic Affairs and the College of Business. The workshop is open to all members of the OSU community and will be recorded.

Best,

Alix I. Gitelman, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
