Information that can be found elsewhere or was outdated is no longer included. The new Faculty Resources page is available to provide clarity and guidance relating to academic faculty positions at OSU.

Academic Freedom
Academic freedom is essential to the mission of Oregon State University, and the university exists to serve the public good through teaching, research, and engagement. Expert Witness Protocol
This protocol is to provide guidance to faculty who may be asked to serve as expert witnesses in private litigation. This guidance is to both support those faculty who consult as expert witnesses in their private capacities, and to provide assistance to faculty who may be subpoenaed in their University roles to testify as experts.

This University Policy describes the university’s responsibilities and procedures pertaining to Faculty Personnel Records, including definition, restrictions, access, confidentiality, location and custody, permanence, duplication, and destruction.
