Getting the Most From Undergraduate Research (GTMFUR) Workshop

This workshop is designed for students who are engaged in undergraduate research experiences and are looking for tips on how to succeed in these experiences and how to leverage them for future successes. You will learn how to market yourself as a researcher, where to present your research, and how to become an OSU Research or Arts Fellow.

Those who attend this workshop will also learn about:

  • Research and social media
  • Publishing and presenting
  • International research experiences
  • Articulating research on a resume

GTMFUR has historically been offered as a live workshop twice a year. This year, we are going to be offering the workshop asynchronously. A pre-recorded video is available for viewing.

Students who attend this workshop will:

  • Explore the steps to getting involved in undergraduate research or creative work with a faculty mentor at OSU
  • Learn how to identify, and communicate with, a faculty mentor you want to work with
  • Be exposed to various resources available to student researchers
