To: OSU academic faculty and staff,

From: Alix Gitelman, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Regan A.R. Gurung, Associate Vice Provost & Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning

September 20th, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

We at the office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Teaching and Learning are looking forward to seeing you, our colleagues again. Together with pragmatic tools to help you design your classes, we also offer a range of weekly teaching talks, short workshops, and a full program designed especially for faculty new to OSU. A full list of all Fall pedagogical activities can be found here

We do not know what course the pandemic will take, but we know you have what it takes to succeed.  You have shown it. We know the last year (plus) was a difficult one and many of us are exhausted. It is clear we can evolve to face the adversity. You should know you do not have to do it alone. We have your back.

We look forward to working with you, invite you to our resources, and are open to one-on-one consultations. If you are looking for ways to be effective and efficient while staying healthy and safe, we are here for you.  We are not just going “Back to Normal” but we are going Onward to Better.

Sincerely,

Alix Gitelman

Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Senior Vice Provost
