OSU fully supports participation in education abroad programs that have been reviewed by the OSU GO Advisory Group to ensure a high-quality experience and the safety of all participants. This extensive review process guarantees that our students will earn OSU resident credit by participating in these programs. Additionally, fully supported education abroad programs are the only programs that students can finance by accessing their OSU financial aid. While some programs may originate from OSU and others are offered by distinct program providers, only those programs appearing on the OSU GO website qualify as fully supported by OSU. Members of the OSU community choosing to participate in education abroad programs not listed on this website will receive only minimal support from OSU GO, as defined below.

Sample Program Providers

As of July 1, 2014, IE3 Global (formerly known as OUS IP) has joined the Office of OSU GO. The IE3 Global consortium facilitates internships, study abroad, and faculty-led programs abroad, and is one example of a fully supported program provider at OSU. Working closely with the OSU GO office, these fully supported program providers coordinate their OSU outreach with the OSU GO advising staff and should not contact individual department faculty or staff.

A partial list of fully supported education abroad program providers is below:

  • Academic Programs International (API)
  • Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE)
  • IE3 Global
  • Institute for Study Abroad-Butler University (IFSA-Butler)
  • School for Field Studies (SFS)
  • School for International Training (SIT)
  • Semester at Sea
  • SEA Semester

Please contact OSU GO (541-737-3006) if you have any questions. Also, please let us know if there are other education abroad program providers that you would like to be reviewed for consideration as fully supported international study or research opportunities.
