Meet the Team

Patrick Aldrich is the Academic Affairs Analyst and UIA Fellow at Oregon State University, where he applies data analysis, evaluation, and institutional research to support academic decision‑making and improve student success. His work focuses on using evidence to strengthen academic programs, inform policy, and help students thrive across diverse educational pathways.

Prior to joining OSU, Patrick spent 13 years at the Research Institute at Western Oregon University, serving as an evaluator, lead statistician, and later as Director of the Center on Research, Evaluation, and Analysis. In these roles, he led data‑driven work on state education systems, university accreditation and grant evaluation, and national education projects—all aimed at improving outcomes for students, educators, children, and families.

McKenzie Huber has spent her career at Oregon State University as an Academic Advisor serving undergraduates and promoting student success. While doing so, she served on the Faculty Senate Baccalaureate Core Committee as an assessment reviewer and co-chair. She also  co-chaired the Baccalaureate Core Revision Committee, charged with reviewing and reforming OSU's General Education. After nearly a decade of experience working within the Baccalaureate Core, she was appointed to the role of Director of the Baccalaureate Core in 2021. She provides leadership and expertise, operational support, collaboration, and communication necessary for the Bacc Core Committees to effectively set strategy and maintain integrity for the Baccalaureate Core program and General Education reform. 

McKenzie is a three time OSU Alumna from Oregon State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and a Master's of Education in College Student Services Administration from the College of Education along with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising Management from the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.

As the Director of New Student Advising, Kerry Kincanon provides strategic leadership for Oregon State University’s efforts to support new first-year and transfer students as they transition and onboard at OSU. Kerry  works closely with the Executive Director of Academic Advising and collaborates with advising leaders across campus to ensure attentive, effective, and consistent advising practices. Additionally, oversees the University Exploratory Studies (UESP) Program, supporting undecided and exploratory students, and engages with key stakeholders to integrate programs that meet the diverse needs of new students.

Kerry started with the UESP in 1999 and has been a Head Advisor since the fall of 2004.  Kerry enjoys working with UESP students because they have a broad diversity of interests and experiences. Every student brings something new to the table. 

Kerry's educational background includes a B.S. in English from Wayne State College (Wayne, NE), an M.A. in English from Ball State University (Muncie, IN) and an Ed.M in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University.

As Director of Academic Programs at INTO Oregon State University, Elena provides leadership to all academic programs within the INTO OSU Center. The INTO OSU Center delivers high quality academic programs preparing international students for undergraduate and graduate education. Elena leads faculty and advisors in all programs and focuses on maintaining the academic and financial health of the programs.

She has over 25 years’ experience of working with international students in South Korean, Russian and US universities as a faculty member and administrator. Elena holds a Masters of Arts in Adult Education/TESOL from the Far Eastern National University.   

As the Associate Vice Provost, Office of Undergraduate Education at Oregon State University, Dr. Steve Wuhs is the senior leader dedicated to ensuring every undergraduate student—across all campuses and learning modalities—receives a high-quality, impactful education. This role drives student success and educational equity, supports university-wide curricula, strengthens transfer pathways, and integrates experiential learning into the undergraduate experience. The AVP also upholds academic integrity and partners across colleges, divisions, and statewide institutions to advance student achievement and innovation.

Steve's efforts support the University’s commitment and mission to enhance and expand opportunities for undergraduates to engage in experiential learning and its commitment to increase student success outcomes for all populations of undergraduate students. The AVP portfolio includes the Offices of Global Opportunities, Marine and Coastal Opportunities, Undergraduate Research, University Advising, University Exploratory Studies program, the three Reserve Officer Training Corps units (Airforce, Army, and Navy), and other university-wide programs and initiatives. 

 Dr. Wuhs served as a faculty member for almost 20 years at the University of Redlands. He also served as the Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Associate Provost for Internationalization, a role in which he oversaw international student support and coordinated university-wide study abroad and overseas risk management. As a scholar of Mexican and Latin American Politics, he served as the chair of the Department of Political Science and Director of both Latin American Studies and International Relations. In various administrative roles he worked on projects related to student success and he advocated for DACA students and Latinx students by leading a campus HSI designation working group and grant writing team. He recently participated in La Academia de Liderazgo, a leadership academy run by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
