Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to share that Dr. Sarah Perrault will return this fall to a full-time faculty role in the School of Writing, Literature, and Film (SWLF) in the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Perrault served as Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) Director for four years, and I appreciate her contributions in that role.

Specifically, Dr. Perrault has helped many faculty design and redesign WIC courses. The current total of WIC courses offered at OSU is 131, and in the last year the WIC Faculty Seminar served 51 faculty representing 32 units at the university. Each year, WIC offers several workshops, and most recently Dr. Perrault brought Dr. Scott Graham from University of Texas at Austin to OSU for a talk and workshop on large-language models and writing pedagogy.

Please join me in thanking Dr. Perrault for her service.

At this time, please send WIC-related questions directly to me. I will consult with Dr. Tim Jensen, Director of SWLF as needed. When Dr. Ashley Holmes joins OSU in August as Associate Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning we will work with Dr. Jensen to develop a plan for supporting WIC in the short- and long-term.

Best,

Alix I. Gitelman, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
