Dear Colleagues,
The Career Champions program provides faculty and instructors with tangible ways to incorporate career connection into the classroom, while advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and examining the barriers to access for first-generation, high financial need, and students of color. Faculty will become more familiar with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career competencies and redesign an assignment or activity to integrate career connection. We’re excited to accept applications for the winter 2022 cohort!
Details about the program: This online program will take place during Week 3 – Week 8 of the winter term.
Each week will be comprised of:
Testimonial: The "Career Champions" seminar should be part of every OSU faculty professional development wheelhouse. Working alongside colleagues from different disciplines to learn and discuss topics on how to best support first-generation students, students of color, and students with high-financial need on their pathway to career is an enriching process and crucial to the success of our students and institution. Career Champions is an important reminder of the roles and impact we have as educators in and out of the classroom. –Faculty member from the 2020 pilot cohort
