The Office of Academic Affairs seeks applications for an Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. This is a national search and interested applicants should apply through OSU’s Employment Opportunities website, referencing listing P05501UF. The posting will remain open until May 30th, 2022. The timing of this search is such that candidates will likely visit campus during the summer, though we will make every effort to include important stakeholders in the screening process. We hope to have the new AVP appointed by the start of Fall term.
The work of Academic Affairs falls into three general categories:
The new AVP for Academic Affairs will have leadership responsibility for experiential-based opportunities for students and student success, and they will be an active partner in all aspects of Academic Affairs.
The Academic Affairs portfolio includes OSU Libraries & OSU Press; the Center for Teaching & Learning; the Office of the Registrar & Curriculum Management; Assessment & Accreditation; INTO OSU Academic Programs; the Directors of Baccalaureate Core, Difference, Power, and Discrimination program, & Writing Intensive Curriculum program; the Office of Global Opportunities; Undergraduate Research (URSA & STEM Leaders); the ROTC Programs (Military Science/Army, Naval Science/Marine & Navy, & Aerospace Studies/Air Force); connections to the University Innovation Alliance; and on-going engagement in statewide transfer issues.
